International Yoga Day

Our school observed the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2019, with great enthusiasm. In the morning assembly one speech was delivered by Rosemoni Handique didi on the importance of yoga in our daily life. After the morning assembly a few selected students of our vidyalaya performed various acts such as Surya Namaskar, Pyramid Formation, Artistic yoga etc. The program was ended with a speech delivered by our Principal Sri Poresh Ch, Loying sir where he appreciated all the students and teachers for their collaborative effort. 

Rabha Diwas

On the occasion of Rabha Diwas which was held on 20th June 2019, like every year, this year also our school observed small program. Ajanta Didi told about Bishnu Prasad Rabha. One Rabha sangeet was sung by class V boys and girls. One speech was given by our class X student Srishti Kashyap.
That day our school organised one Rabha sangeet competition among our school's students. We invited one judge Sri Arup Changmai, one govt. employee of agriculture office who judged the performances of our students.
After the music competition he delivered one speech on the importance of the day as usual as on the rhythm, scale of music. The prizes were distributed to the top three performers.

Health and Hygiene Program

With relation to "World No Tobacco Day" a health and hygiene awareness program was organised in the vidyalaya premises on 31st May 2019 where a medical team from Jaysagar Civil Hospital, Sivasagar guided the students. The students of class IX and X participated in that program and the program was organised separately for the girls and boys. The medical team was led by Dr. Rajib Kr. Boruah, superintendentof Jaysagar Civil Hospital, Sivasagar.  

Personality Development Camp 2019

To shape the characters and the personality of the students in the right manner, a Vyaktita Vikash Shibir was organised by VKV Sivasagar under the guidance of VKSPV for the students of class VI. The shibir was started on 28th May 2019 and it was ended on 1st June 2019. The shibir focused on the all round development of the students right from academic, physical spiritual and intellectual. R. P. Sumon from VKV Doyang attended and guided the students as an observer. During this five days shibir many scholarly person took sessions on various topics and guided the students on how to form their personality in the real sense.

Annual School Sports Meet

Our school organised "Annual Sports Meet" from 2nd January 2019 to 5th January 2019 to develop the sporting talent and spirit among the students where students from both Mothiachiga and Amulapatty unit participated enthusiastically. The annual sports meet started with an inaugural ceremony where Mr. Jayanta Rajkonwar, renown person in the field of body building was invited as the chief guest. The inaugural ceremony was full of various colorful performances by the students of Mothiachiga unit as well as by the tiny tots of Amulapatty unit. March past and march drill was also demonstrated by a few selected students. After the end of the inaugural ceremony various sports events like running event, jump event, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, carrom, chess etc were started both for boys and girls in group wise. All the students showed their sportsmanship and participated actively in all the events organised by our vidyalaya. After the end of all the events prizes and medals were distributed to all the winners. The sports meet provided a good platform to all the students to showcase their talents in the field of sports and also to develop the spirit of sportsmanship among them.
     




Science, Art & Craft Exhibition

Science, Art & Craft exhibition was organized on 28 and 29 December 2018 in VKV, Sivasagar. Smt. Anjali Dutta, Secretary of VMC, inaugurated the exhibition. To enhance the creativity and skill amongst the students, they had to prepare the projects in school. Parents/ Guardians also visited the exhibition in a large number and motivated the students.
                           



Srimanta Sankardeva Tithi

On the occasion of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva tithi, celebration was done in our school in a great manner. Celebration was started with mangalacharan and lighting the lamp by respected Principal sir Poresh Ch. Loying. A speech was delivered by one of our teacher Ajanta didi. Cultural programmes were started with a 'Borgeet' performed by class IV and V girls. A Krishna nritya was performed by class III girls, a Gopi nritya was performed by class IV, V and VI girls, Krishna nritya (solo) was performed by Deeptanku Chutia of class III. One 'Borgeet' was performed by Purabi didi and another one performed by Ajanta didi. Along with other programmes 'Naam Prasanga' was also done by local 'bhakats'. 'Prasad' were distributed to all the students. The celebration was ended with Shanti Path.
 

Universal Brotherhood Day

On 11th September 2018, students of VKV, Mothiachiga from VI to IX were participated in a peace rally. The rally covered approximately a distance of 1.5 km from school. Before starting the rally, Principal sir Poresh Ch Loying explained the significance of the day to the students. About 150 students along with 8 teachers went for the rally. Participating students came in their decorative costumes and two students Anuska Sharma from class IX and Mayur Kalita from class VIII came in the costume of Swamiji and delivered the Swamiji's Chicago address throughout the rally.
The rally was started at about 9:30 am and returned to school at about 11:30 am. After coming back, packet lunch was given to the students. At last the programme was ended with kendra parthana.

Teacher's Day

On the occasion of Teacher's Day which was held on 5th Sep 2018, like every year this year also our school celebrated this in a grand manner. All the teachers and students came to school with their uniforms. This time Prahlad sir and Chandralekha didi took the responsibility of the celebration of Teacher's Day.
That day around 8:30 am the teachers lead the assembly. Then from 9:30 am the programme started with Mangalacharan and lighting the lamp by our Principal sir. The programmes for Teacher's Day were as follows:
             First, a classical dance by few girls from class VIII and IX. Then Moumita Kotoky of class IX delivered a speech on Teacher's Day. After that a poem recitation was there by class V girl Nashra Bandhan Dutta. Then a group song presented by class III boys and girls. Two more group songs were performed by the students of class IV, V & VI. There were three dance performances presented by the students of class IV , VII and VIII girls. Principal sir delivered a speech. He told us about the importance of being a teacher and about this noble profession of teaching. Chandralekha didi also delivered a speech. The programme was ended with Shantipath at 11:30 am.

Raksha Bandhan

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan which was held on 26th of August, our school VKV, Sivasagar took an unique initiative to celebrate this day. In the morning, at around 10 O'clock, few of our students from class III, V, VI, IX with four of our teachers Papari didi, Sabita Didi, Pabitra didi and Anurupa didi went to a children's home named "Swapnalaya" to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. "Swapnalaya" is a children's home maintained by an NGO 'Shape'.
At first, one didi from"Swapnalaya" introduced us with their children and after that Pabitra didi gave an small introductory speech and our introduction to them. After that Pabitra didi told the significance of this day followed by a story of Hindu Mythology regarding Raksha Bandhan. After the speech our children/ students started to tie rakhi to the children one by one with 'Aarti' and 'Tikka' to the children. Some of the outside people are also present in this program and celebrated with us. We also took some sweet for them and distributed. Few of our students sang our 'Shibir Geet' infront of them.
After the performance of song by our students we finally ended our Raksha Bandhan celebration.
In addition to this on 27th August, Monday, our school also celebrated Raksha Bandhan at school campus. From class III to class IX, all the students assembled in the prayer hall and tied rakhi one another. The program was ended with Shantipath.
