Srimanta Sankardeva Tithi

On the occasion of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva tithi, celebration was done in our school in a great manner. Celebration was started with mangalacharan and lighting the lamp by respected Principal sir Poresh Ch. Loying. A speech was delivered by one of our teacher Ajanta didi. Cultural programmes were started with a 'Borgeet' performed by class IV and V girls. A Krishna nritya was performed by class III girls, a Gopi nritya was performed by class IV, V and VI girls, Krishna nritya (solo) was performed by Deeptanku Chutia of class III. One 'Borgeet' was performed by Purabi didi and another one performed by Ajanta didi. Along with other programmes 'Naam Prasanga' was also done by local 'bhakats'. 'Prasad' were distributed to all the students. The celebration was ended with Shanti Path.
 

Universal Brotherhood Day

On 11th September 2018, students of VKV, Mothiachiga were participated in a peace rally. The rally covered approximately a distance of 1.5 km from school. Before starting the rally, Principal sir Poresh Ch Loying explained the significance of the day to the students. About 150 students along with 8 teachers went for the rally. Participating students came in their decorative costumes and two students Anuska Sharma and Mayur Kalita came in the costume of Swamiji and delivered the Swamiji's Chicago address throughout the rally.
The rally was started at about 9:30 am and returned to school at about 11:30 am. After coming back, packet lunch was given to the students. At last the programme was ended with kendra parthana.

Teacher's Day

On the occasion of Teacher's Day which was held on 5th Sep 2018, like every year this year also our school celebrated this in a grand manner. All the teachers and students came to school with their uniforms. This time Prahlad sir and Chandralekha didi took the responsibility of the celebration of Teacher's Day.
That day around 8:30 am the teachers lead the assembly. Then from 9:30 am the programme started with Mangalacharan and lighting the lamp by our Principal sir. The programmes for Teacher's Day were as follows:
             First, a classical dance by few girls from class VIII. After that a poem recitation was there by class V girl Nashra Bandhan Dutta. Then a group song presented by class III boys and girls. Two more group songs were performed by the students of class IV, V & VI. There were three dance performances presented by the students of class IV , VII and VIII girls. Principal sir delivered a speech. He told us about the importance of being a teacher and about this noble profession of teaching. Chandralekha didi also delivered a speech. The programme was ended with Shantipath at 11:30 am.

Raksha Bandhan

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan which was held on 26th of August, our school VKV, Sivasagar took an unique initiative to celebrate this day. In the morning, at around 10 O'clock, few of our students from class III, V, VI with four of our teachers Papari didi, Sabita Didi, Pabitra didi and Anurupa didi went to a children's home named "Swapnalaya" to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. "Swapnalaya" is a children's home maintained by an NGO 'Shape'.
At first, one didi from"Swapnalaya" introduced us with their children and after that Pabitra didi gave an small introductory speech and our introduction to them. After that Pabitra didi told the significance of this day followed by a story of Hindu Mythology regarding Raksha Bandhan. After the speech our children/ students started to tie rakhi to the children one by one with 'Aarti' and 'Tikka' to the children. Some of the outside people are also present in this program and celebrated with us. We also took some sweet for them and distributed. Few of our students sang our 'Shibir Geet' infront of them.
After the performance of song by our students we finally ended our Raksha Bandhan celebration.
In addition to this on 27th August, Monday, our school also celebrated Raksha Bandhan at school campus. From class III to class VII, all the students assembled in the prayer hall and tied rakhi one another. The program was ended with Shantipath.

72nd Independence Day


        On 15 Aug 2018 our school celebrated 72nd Independence Day with enthusiasm. Few of our parents were also present on the occasion. Programme was started with Mangalacharan by a few students.
        The Tricolour was hoisted with full honour and decorum by our honourable principal sir Poresh Ch. Loying and the national anthem was sung. Queen Bora Saikia, one of our didi spoke on the martyrs of the freedom movement.
        Then a patriotic song was sung by some of the students of class III, IV and V. After that Bristi Baruah of class VIII sopke on the significance of the day. Then a student of class III sung a Jyoti Sangeet, followed by a patriotic song a few students of class VI, VII, VIII.
        Nasra Bandhan Dutta of class V recited one patriotic poem. After that, our principal sir spoke a few word. Lastly the programme ended with Shantipath.


World Environment Day

Our school observed the World Environment Day on 5th June 2018. a speech was given by our Principal sir about the significance of the day. Students of class III planted some plants in the school premises.

Rabindra Jayanti

On 7th May 2018, our school observed Rabindra Jayanti. The observation began with Mangalacharan by few girls from class IV and VI. Suraj sir and Ajanta didi both delivered a brief speech about Rabindra Nath Tagore. Then one very nice Rabindra sangeet was performed by the girls of class VIII. After that Kasturi Dihingia from class VIII and Sayarani Gogoi from class IV also delivered a speech about Tagore. Another Rabindra sangeet was performed by few girls from class IV. At last the program was ended with Shanti Path.

Ramakrishna Jayanti

Our school observed Ramakrishna Jayanti on 19 Feb 2018. The program was started with Mangalacharan by the students of class VI. After that Tanushree didi delivered a speech on Ramakrishna. Bidisha Paul of class VII also delivered a speech. One Bhajan was performed by the girls of class VI and VII. The program was ended with shanti path.      

Saraswati Puja

On 23rd Jan 2018 our school celebrated the Saraswati Puja. The day was started with the morning prayer. Mangalacharan was performed by the girls of class VIII which was followed by Puspanjali to goddess Saraswati by all the students and guardian also. After that Prasad and Khichiri was distributed among all the students. The day was ended with the prayer.
  

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

Our school celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti in "Yuva Doll", Sivasagar on 12th January 2018 in a grand way. The program was started with Mangalacharan by the students of class IV and V.  The welcome speech was given by Mr. Ratul Kalita sir. After that a Guru Vandana dance was performed by the girls of class V, VI, VII and VIII. One solo dance performance was also there by Angarika Sharma of class III. Few students of class V, VI, VII and VIII also performed one assamese modern dance. One assamese song was also presented by the students of Class V which was followed by a Bihu Dance performance by the students of class III and VI. The very well known story "Champawati" was presented as a drama by some selected students of class IV to VIII. School annual report was also presented by our Principal Mr. Poresh Ch. Loying sir. After the vote of thanks by Papori didi the program was ended with Shanti Path.
 

Annual Sports

Our school celebrated the Annual Sports from 3rd Jan 2018 to 6th Jan 2018. On 3rd Jan 2018, the whole event was started with Mangalacharan by the students of class V and VI. The lamp was lighted by Minoti Dihingia madam, a very well known sport person from Sivasagar. After that Students of class VI performed a song which was followed by the welcome speech by our Principal sir Mr. Poresh Ch. Loying sir. After that a very attractive and eye catching March Past was shown by the students of class V, VI, VII and VIII. Our chief guest Minoti Dihingia mam delivered a speech about the significance of sports. After that few girls of class I and II performed a modern dance. After that a Karate display was there by the students of class IV to VIII. At last vote of thanks was given by Ratul Kalita sir. That day program was ended with Shanti Path. From 4th Jan 2018 to 6th Jan 2018 different games were organised among the students.


Kalpataru Divas

School celebrated Kalpataru Divas on 1st January 2018. The program was started with Mangalacharan by the students of class IV. A group song was presented by class IV and class III students. Girls of class VII and VIII performed an assamese fusion dance and a Dhol badan was presented by few students of class III, VI and VIII. The teacher's speech was delivered by Queen Didi. The program was ended with Shanti Path.

Sarada Maa Jayanti

Our school observed Sarada Maa Jayanti on 22nd Dec 2017. The program was started with mangalacharan. After that Tanushree Didi delivered a speech on the significance of the day. After that one Bhajan was performed by class VII and VIII. The program ended with Shanti Path.

Sukafa Divas

On 2nd Dec 2017, our school observed Sukafa Divas. The program was started with Mangalacharan. Sabita Didi delivered the teacher's speech. Student's speech was delivered by Nasa Gogoi of class VIII. After that few students of class VIII and VII performed one assamese song and class III students also performed another song. One solo song was performed by a student of class III. The program was ended with Shanti Path.

Geeta Jayanti

School observed Geeta Jayanti on 30 Nov 2017. The program was started with Mangalacharan. Teacher's speech was delivered by Rupali Didi. After that Vidyalaya organised Geeta chanting competition among the students of class II to class VIII. 

Lachit Divas

School observed "Lachit Divas" on 24th November 2017. The program was started with Mangalacharan. Student's speech was delivered by Kasturi Dihingia of class VII. After that Assamese patriotic song was presented by class VII students. Teacher's speech was delivered by Chandralekha Didi. Few girls students of class III and IV present a patriotic song. The program was ended with Shanti Path.
