Children's Day
Children's Day was observed in our vidyalaya on 14th Nov 2019 with great enthusiasm. This day is celebrated to increase awareness of people towards the rights, care and education of children.
In the morning assembly a student Bagmita Saikia from class V played the keyboard and sang a song very beautifully. Manamee Bharadwaz from class X delivered a speech. A group song was sung by some selected students from class III. Unmilita Borgohain a student of class VII also delivered a speech. Some competitions were organised like 'Go As You Like' for the students of class III to class V and 'Extempore Speech' for the students of class VI to VIII. For the students of class IX and X a Kabbadi game was organised.
Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti
Our school observed Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti on 2nd Oct 2019, at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Sivasagar in both the units. In the morning assembly a speech was given by Uma didi on Shastri Jayanti. She gave a brief introduction of him and also she spoke about his works which he wanted the people to do for the country. Another speech was given by Hridiksha Gogoi a student of class V on account of Gandhi Jayanti. A poem was recited by Khusboo Neog a student of class IV. In Amulapatty unit students presented an effective drama on the struggle of India's Independence by the great leader Mahatma Gandhi.
Universal Brotherhood Day
Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated on 11th Sep 2019 in our school along with all other VKVs. This year it was decided by VKV Sivasagar to celebrate this day not only in our school alone but also with Nazira College. So on that day we were devided into two groups. One group of teachers along with some Kendra Karyakartas went to Nazira College and another group celebrated the day at school.
At Nazira College, about 200 students from the college attended the program along with 8 teachers. Respected Principal of our school Basudev Sir explained the purpose and objective of the day. From the college side the respected Vice-Principal of the college explained her feeling on that day. A small cultural program was also performed from our school side.
On the other hand in the school also the Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated. A competition was organised among the students on Swamiji's Chicago Speech. Few cultural programs are also performed by our students.
Janmastami
On 24th August 2019, our vidyalaya celebrated Krishna Janmastami in a grand way. The program was started with a mangalacharan few girls student. On this occasion students of different classes performed different programs like Satriya Dance, Krishna Nritya, Borgeet, Bhajan etc. From the teacher's side Prahlad Borah sir delivered a speech on the significance of the day. Borenya Dutta from class VI also delivered a speech. The main attraction of the day was a group of Diha naam who came from Mechagarh. They performed many diha naam that our students enjoyed a lot. At last Prasad was distributed to all.
Independence Day
On 15th August 2019 our Vidyalaya celebrated the 73rd Independence day with enthusiasm. The program started with Mangalacharan by a few students of class IV, V, VI and VII.
After Mangalacharan, the tricolor was hoisted with full honour and decorum by our honourable Principal Sri Poresh Ch. Loying sir and the national anthem was sung by all the present there. Respected principal sir, on his speech spoke on the martyrs of the freedom movement, and the significance of the day.
After the speech a few selected students of our vidyalaya sung a patriotic song. Then Nasra Bandhan Dutta, student of class VI recited a patriotic poem. After that a patriotic group dance was performed by Parthana Dutta, Brishti Baruah, Jonmoni Barman and Dikshita Gogoi. After that Gitartha Phukan played a patriotic song on keyboard. At last the program was ended by shanti path.
International Yoga Day
Our school observed the International Yoga Day on 21st June 2019, with great enthusiasm. In the morning assembly one speech was delivered by Rosemoni Handique didi on the importance of yoga in our daily life. After the morning assembly a few selected students of our vidyalaya performed various acts such as Surya Namaskar, Pyramid Formation, Artistic yoga etc. The program was ended with a speech delivered by our Principal Sri Poresh Ch, Loying sir where he appreciated all the students and teachers for their collaborative effort.
Rabha Diwas
On the occasion of Rabha Diwas which was held on 20th June 2019, like every year, this year also our school observed small program. Ajanta Didi told about Bishnu Prasad Rabha. One Rabha sangeet was sung by class V boys and girls.
That day our school organised one Rabha sangeet competition among our school's students. We invited one judge Sri Arup Changmai, one govt. employee of agriculture office who judged the performances of our students.
After the music competition he delivered one speech on the importance of the day as usual as on the rhythm, scale of music. The prizes were distributed to the top three performers.
Health and Hygiene Program
With relation to "World No Tobacco Day" a health and hygiene awareness program was organised in the vidyalaya premises on 31st May 2019 where a medical team from Jaysagar Civil Hospital, Sivasagar guided the students. The students participated in that program and the program was organised separately for the girls and boys. The medical team was led by Dr. Rajib Kr. Boruah, superintendentof Jaysagar Civil Hospital, Sivasagar.
Personality Development Camp 2019
To shape the characters and the personality of the students in the right manner, a Vyaktita Vikash Shibir was organised by VKV Sivasagar under the guidance of VKSPV for the students of class VI. The shibir was started on 28th May 2019 and it was ended on 1st June 2019. The shibir focused on the all round development of the students right from academic, physical spiritual and intellectual. R. P. Sumon from VKV Doyang attended and guided the students as an observer. During this five days shibir many scholarly person took sessions on various topics and guided the students on how to form their personality in the real sense.
Annual School Sports Meet
Our school organised "Annual Sports Meet" from 2nd January 2019 to 5th January 2019 to develop the sporting talent and spirit among the students where students participated enthusiastically. The annual sports meet started with an inaugural ceremony where Mr. Jayanta Rajkonwar, renown person in the field of body building was invited as the chief guest. The inaugural ceremony was full of various colorful performances by the students. March past and march drill was also demonstrated by a few selected students. After the end of the inaugural ceremony various sports events like running event, jump event, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, carrom, chess etc were started both for boys and girls in group wise. All the students showed their sportsmanship and participated actively in all the events organised by our vidyalaya. After the end of all the events prizes and medals were distributed to all the winners. The sports meet provided a good platform to all the students to showcase their talents in the field of sports and also to develop the spirit of sportsmanship among them.
Science, Art & Craft Exhibition
Science, Art & Craft exhibition was organized on 28 and 29 December 2018 in VKV, Sivasagar. Smt. Anjali Dutta, Secretary of VMC, inaugurated the exhibition. To enhance the creativity and skill amongst the students, they had to prepare the projects in school. Parents/ Guardians also visited the exhibition in a large number and motivated the students.
