International Yoga Day 2023

 Yoga is the ultimate practice. It simultaneously stimulates our inner light and quiets our overactive minds. It is both energy and rest. Today VKV Sivasagar celebrated International Yoga Day. Our students played the major role as Yoga Instructor and conducted International Yoga Day in different three places: Joktali H.S. School, Na-Mati High School and In our Vidyalaya. 

Our Young YOGA instructors are:

World Environment Day

"Let's nurture our environment for a better future"

VKV Sivasagar celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm by conducting various activities and competitions among the students to create awareness and reduce the use of plastics. Here are glimpses of the celebration:

Painting Competition as part of G20, C20

India is a country which is rich in diversity. Today on 29/05/2023, with regard to Diversity Inclusion Mutual Respect a painting competition was organised in VKV Sivasagar as part of G-20, C-20 event. Students from Class VI to VIII participated in this event with fervor.

C20 Samaj Shala

As we know that India holds the presidency of G20 from 1st December 2022 to 30th November 2023 . Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Sivasagar branch as a part of Group of 20, C20 Samaj Shala for the Youth of Assam, Youth for Diversity, Inclusion and Mutual Respect was organised at Sivasagar Girl's College. The chief guest of this programme was the Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar, Shri Aditya Vikram Yadav Sir. Respected Dr Protim Sharma Sir, was the speaker of this programme. Total 155 students of Different Colleges of Sivasagar as well as school students were present. Here are the glimpses of the programme

Rabindra Jayanti

Rabindra Jayanti is an annually celebrated cultural festival, prevalent among Tagorephiles around the world in remembrance of Rabindranath Tagore's Birth Anniversary. On account of Rabindra Jayanti VKV Sivasagar organized various competition as well as activities such as Shanti Path, Structured conversation, Elocution and Paper Presentation for the Classes KG to X. So here we are sharing the glimpses of the celebration.

Utsarga Samaroh and Matri Puja

VKV Sivasagar conducted its Utsarga Samaroh and Matri Puja, an initiative to embark the child's love and respect to their mothers for the students of class X, on 18th february. Students washed the feet of their mothers with water and did Arati and Puja of Matri in a ceremonial and holistic way. Glimpses of the celebration:

Saraswati Puja Celebration

Saraswati Puja Celebration: VKV Sivasagar celebrated Saraswati Puja in a grand manner, paying respect to the Goddess of Knowledge. Children sang bhajans reiterating the importance of the day. Workshop for Teachers Class IX and X

VKV Sivasagar organised a day long workshop for secondary level teachers on 31/12/2022. Along with VKV Sivasagar, maths teachers from nearby VKVS also attended the workshop. Sri Rohit Mahaddalkar from Gyan Prabodhini Pune who works as mathematics expert for JEE foundation and also ATAL Tinkering lab coordinator for PUNE was the resource person to guide our teachers.


Ganit Prajna Samvardhan

Today on 29 November 2022, VKV Sivasagar organized a felicitation programme for the achievers of Ganit Prajna Pariksha(Mathematical Based Exam). The motto behind this programme is to encourage students to love the subject mathematics. Rank Achievers have designed some models on mathematical concepts and used these to clear the mathematical concept. To encourage our students today's guest was Dr. Rupam Gogoi, Associate Professor , Department of Mathematics, Sibasagar College. Rupam Sir has conducted a class on conceptual based learning. He spoke on the process of learning mathematics etc. He asked the students to read the introduction , chapters and the history part first before solving the problems. In Today's Class, he taught Number Theory and cleared many doubts regarding this concept. He added to be specific to the definition of any concept. Hope Almighty God will bless our students and let them shine like the bright stars.
