We are aware that Project Based Learning is child-centered methodology of teaching. Therefore, implementation of PBL in all subject is very much necessary to connect us with the spirit of NEP-2020. Like yester years this year too , VKSPV, Guwahati have decided to conduct State Level Aryabhata Anusandhanatmak Vijnan Prakalpa on 22nd & 23rd December, 2023. As a part of AAVP-2023 , Class VIII & IX students of VKV Sivasagar were working on Investigatory Science Project for the last two months. These budding scientists have presented their findings of science projects on 6th November, 2023. Sri Gunakanta Sonowal, Senior Assistant Professor , Dept. of Physics (Gargaon College) and Sri Utpal Sadhonider ,Assistant Professor ,Department of Chemistry (Kakojan College Jorhat) did the assessment of all projects as a first phase of evaluation. Both the judges interacted and encouraged our budding scientist through questioning method. Their feedback and suggestions will definitely help our students to improve their skills in project work. ABOUT PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN THE WORDS OF SRI PRASHANTA DIVEKARJI JNANA PRABODHINI PUNE In project-based learning, the learner comes up with a Question or an Idea. With the help of a guiding teacher, he works to get an answer to the question or to convert the idea into a product. Project-based learning is a learner-centred process so the learner has to raise questions and ideas. Guide teachers can help the learner with the brainstorming process. For the implementation of Project-based learning educational authority can define a theme or area of work but within that framework, learners’ question or ideas is the core of PBL. When a learner starts to work on his question or idea, he/ she has to select a method and approach to get the answer. No ready-made solution is available. During this process, learners get the experience with regard to the creation of knowledge. To acquire experience in knowledge construction, localization of the topic for study is essential. By converting the problem to a local context, learners can easily find primary data sources. This helps to reduce dependency on secondary sources of information. To explore all aspects of the project question developing process-- a system map about the scope of the project question is essential. This will help to find interdisciplinary connections associated with the question or topic.
